About Us

Nestled in the foothills of the Montana Rockies, surrounded by pristine wilderness, lies the state’s capital— Helena, “the heartbeat of Montana.” And in the midst of this breathtaking scene is the exclusive resort-style community of Waterford on Saddle Drive, an integral participant in this city’s vibrant culture and history.

Welcome to all that Waterford offers!

Established in 1997, Waterford has built a solid reputation for catering to the needs and aspirations of active, involved adults over 55. Our beautiful, 11.5–acre campus in Helena’s upper eastside has been carefully planned to bring comfortable homes, excellent amenities and services, and friendly, interesting people together into one supportive community.

Choices, choices, choices

Do you prefer a cozy studio or a more spacious one- or two-bedroom home, with perhaps a den, or an extra bath? How about a breathtaking view of “The Sleeping Giant,” the area’s legendary mountain range? Whatever your wishes, we offer a variety of styles and sizes from which to choose.

As much as you love your new home, it’s only the beginning at Waterford. Our aim is to liberate you from house-related chores and hassles so you can get the most out of your new life here. Services may include home and yard maintenance; weekly housekeeping; tasty, nutritious meals served in our dining room(s), even health care options. Service packages are flexible to fit your personal needs and style.

More time to enjoy life.

How will you spend your free time? The choice is yours. Waterford recognizes that today’s adults want to remain productive and engaged in life. They want to remain physically and mentally active. That’s why we have a robust Life Enrichment/Wellness program offering a virtual buffet of resources, activities, and events.

Helena is alive with community spirit, street festivals, theater, museums,
symphonies, state fairs, rodeos, and shopping! Just beyond the city, you’ll find some of the best nature-viewing and recreational opportunities imaginable.

Whether you or a loved one are fully independent, or in need of various levels of assistance, we’d be delighted to show you show you around!
